Human resources expert Todd Anderson offers a presentation tailored for members of the dance competition industry covering issues such as employee handbooks, training, and hiring and firing. Attorney Kevin Sanderson will offer sessions on general legal issues for owners including succession planning and selling your company. Insurance specialist Jose Rojas will offer a workshop on risk mitigation and other insurance-related issues, and credit card specialist Phil Hinke will offer best practices for making accepting credit card payments. ADCC Executive Director Tammy Hauser, nonprofit consultant and CEO of Blue Sky Thinking, will offer a workshop on customer service.

The 2017 Industry Excellence Awards Gala includes dinner and a show, recognition of this year’s Industry Excellence Award winners, and presentation of the 2017 ADCC Lifetime Acheivement Award to Debbi Dee.
Debbi Dee, a nationally renowned tap dancer, choreographer and dance teacher, currently works on Convention Platforms, teaching teachers as well as students for many major dance organizations, including Dance Olympus, Dance Masters of America, Florida Dance Masters, Dance Educators of America, Dance Teacher Summit, Dance Makers and many more.
Debbi has held guest positions at OCU (Oklahoma City University), and the University of Buffalo, as well as numerous performing arts schools. She continues to teach at private studios giving master classes as well as private choreography. Her “Debbi Dee Tap Intensive” is recognized by Dance Teacher as a higher education course for teachers.
The Annual Meeting in September will feature the third annual ADCC Industry Excellence Awards, recognizing excellence in various categories. Staff members are nominated by their ADCC Member Competition or Convention owner and chosen by an industry panel. Categories for 2017 include:

Todd Anderson of Platinum HR has over 30 years’ experience as a Human Resources professional and has spent 12 years as a Regional HR Director for a Fortune 50 company managing the HR function for over 6,000 employees. He was also an HR Consultant to the Winter Olympics, developing a process to bring on 27,000 volunteers to Salt Lake City in 2002.
Attorney Kevin Sanderson of Merritt & Sanderson, P.A., has offices in Sarasota, FL. and Columbia, MD., practices in the areas of corporate law, employment law, and estate planning. Mr. Sanderson represents both plaintiffs and defendants in simple and complex civil and commercial litigation including unemployment appeals, non-compete/trade secret litigation, severance agreements, and other areas of employment law. He is a founding member of the board of directors of KAETA (Kids and Elders Through Arts), a Sarasota-based non-profit that promotes dialogue and interaction between older and younger generations through shared experiences in the arts.
Tammy Hauser is CEO of Blue Sky Thinking, a consulting firm for nonprofits, and the Executive Director of The ADCC.
Jose joined the LBW Insurance team in 2016 and has a BA in Business Administration from California Lutheran University. He earned his Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designation in 2016 and is currently pursuing the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. He lives in Santa Clarita with his wife and son.
Phil Hinke is a merchant advocate and noted expert in the credit card processing industry. He has been quoted by CNN Money, Entrepreneur Magazine, and other publications, and is a frequent contributor to consumer websites and organizations. In 2011, Phil published the “Guide to Slashing Your Credit Card Processing Costs” to provide business owners with the tools and inside industry information to enable them to receive the best processing value for their money. The same year, he founded MerchantFeeSavers, LLC, an educational and consulting service, and MLS Advocate, an unbiased savings-analysis-service for merchants, with the mission to help business owners navigate through the convoluted and often misleading pricing and terms & conditions in card processing industry.
Kris joined HelmsBriscoe in 2009 and has since used her unique blend of experiences, strengths and skills to deliver extraordinary value and service to the diverse mix of clients she represents; which includes dance competitions, state and national associations, incentive travel, and national car shows. She has a passion for building lasting relationships and truly understanding her clients’ needs and goals. Kris recently received the prestigious HelmsBriscoe President’s Club Award recognizing her commitment to excellence.
